Noise pollution may not be eco friendly, but it surely makes for a good business opportunity when most guys on campus are bike maniacs who love to add more vroom to their bikes.
Tapping into this opportunity, ten NEN E Cell members of VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science ran an inter-college bike remodeling workshop where 30 bikes were remodeled. Bike engines were ramped up, light settings changed and silencers made noisy. Students made a profit of about Rs 2,000 within two hours. “It is such a good idea that I am planning to open a garage that will focus on bike remodeling,” says Mohammed Ashick, who led the workshop.
